Niedawno zastanawialem sie nad HPA 200+V800(DAC od Lake People) popytalem sie troche na head-fi i dostalem takie odpowiedzi:
hpa 200 + v800
The DAC is excellent, as good or better then anything in it\'s price range.
The amp is great, but on the darker side of neutral. It\'s quick, powerful, and very musical.
This combo is actually a great match for the HD800\'s. It warms them up a touch and drives them very nicely. Although I\'m a tube guy at heart, I could easily live with that combo.
A tu RSA Phoenix(bardzo popularny na Head-Fi) vs HPA 200
Hi there! Yeah, I have, but only using a DAC that is not on the same level. The DAC I used them was the Icon HDP in pure DAC mode. The V200 is clearly more colored than the Phoenix. The Phoenix has a larger soundstage and easily more resolution. The V200 was a lot warmer/more colored and had a very tubelike liquid feel to everything. I felt the V200 made all music sound the same a bit, like tube gear does. The Phoenix is pretty smooth too though, but the V200 is easily the more "musical" out of the two.
It all depends on what you are looking for. I´ll be honest with you: I ended up returning the V200 because I felt it made all music sound too similar and too colored, but it was definately not an unpleasant coloration. But I eventually ended up selling the HD 800 entirely after using them with my Phoenix/REF7 combo. It was too bright for my liking.
In an objective sense (parts, detail, soundstage and the list goes on) I feel the Phoenix is far superior to the V200, but synergy wise I would actually prefer to use the HD 800 with the V200, as I feel they are highly flawed headphones without being intentionally fed by a colored wise. So I´d pick the V200, it pairs very well with the HD 800 (and man, they are so horribly picky about amps... only because they need a colored amp to sound good though!). I use studio monitors these days so the Phoenix preamp mode has been a blessing for me. Right now I don´t even have a headphone for my main system. I´m looking into HD 650 and the T1 though.
